Firstly a big thank you to all who attended the awards dinner at the Holiday Inn on the 6th February, the evening was a tremendous success and we have received some very positive feedback we are already planning next years event.
Congratulations to Jessica Nicholson and Matthew Firth on receiving the gymnast of the year awards and to Stephanie Blunden and Tom Rawlinson coach of the year. Well done to all those gymnasts who received awards and certificates of Merit you are all what makes our club great.
As you will all be aware we appear to have out grown the Holiday Inn so we have spent the last couple of months looking around several other venues. The 2011 awards dinner will be held on the 5TH February at Leeds united conference and events centre (function room to be confirmed) We will be introducing several new awards across all sections and also for the first time we will have the C.O.L.G.C. sports personality of the year this award will reach its conclusion on the night. There will be several changes to the evening, booking and seating arrangements. We will be sending this information out shortly. If anybody has any suggestions for the event please forward them to the management committee.
The awards dinner is a fantastic way of bringing the club together as one and all gymnasts and there families and friends are most welcome, so put the date in your diaries and keep an eye on things as it will be time to vote before you know it.
