Mike Talbot (Mr T)

It is with deep sadness that the City of  Leeds Gymnastics Club wishes to inform you that Mike Talbot ( our dear Mr T) passed away peacefully on Wednesday 4th January 2012 after a recent illness.

Mr T as he was so affectionately known  was the City of Leeds Gymnastics Club and many gymnasts both present and past are sure to hold very special memories of his time with the club.He was a dedicated coach and an inspiration to all who knew him and the best possible ambassador for our sport. He will be greatly missed by the Club.

Mike’s funeral will take place Tuesday 17th January at Aberford Church, 1.30pm.

This will be followed by a private service at the crematorium at Lawnswood (family only).

All are welcome at Aberford Church and at a later gathering at Weetwood Hall from 3.45pm.

The family have requested that no flowers are sent (as you all know Mr T never did like a ‘fuss’) but that any donations are made out to St Gemma’s Hospice.

Our thoughts are with Mike’s family at this sad time.
